Heritage of Sobrarbe
Explore Sobrarbe, a Spanish county with many cultural and natural treasures, without moderation. First of all, we come here for its enchanting mountain landscapes, where the pretty greenery of the valleys is gradually being replaced by the grey rocks of the peaks. Stars in the eyes, we meet marmots, isards on steep slopes and the hypnotic flight of falcons. At the top of the Monet Perdido, discover an unbelievable view of the whole region: the wide Ordesa canyon, the 13 glaciers, the hundred or so glacial lakes and the many other peaks at an altitude of over 3000m (the Posets, Vallibierna and Espadas peaks, the Vignemale...). In the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park, climb the Pic d'Aneto, the highest point in the Pyrenees at 3404m, after such a beautiful and demanding hike. Looking for new sensations? Initiate yourself to canyoning in the crystal clear waters of the Sierra Natural Park and the Guara Gorge. Discover also the cultural heritage of Sobrarbe: rock art in the caves of Rio Vero and the summer solstice fire festival in San Juan de Plan (both registered with UNESCO), the medieval village of Ainsa labelled "Most beautiful villages in Spain", the magnificent Lake Mediano, its former bell tower still emerging and many other exceptional sites...
