Estarvielle

In the Louron valley, at the foot of the ski resorts of Peyragudes and Val Louron, Estarvielle is a preserved and family-friendly village. Above all pastoral, it is situated in an environment of hedged farmland and terraced fields which gives nature lovers and relaxation a change of scenery.

It has a very authentic mountain hotel based on the old Guilhempène inn. Estarvielle is located at the gateway to the Génos-Loudenvielle lake and its numerous activities, a strong point for its visitors!

Legend has it that a Visigoth lord had a large estate in the Louron and bequeathed his lands to his five sons Estar, Ader, Aran, Louden and Louder, hence the names of the communes of Estarvielle, Adervielle, Aranvielle, Loudenvielle and Loudervielle.

Note the 12th century Romanesque church of Saint-Pierre.
