In the centre of the historic Louron valley, an enchanting setting offers you an exceptional stay in the heart of the Pyrénées2vallées.
Recharge your batteries near Lake Genos-Loudenvielle
Symbol of the valley, the lake of Génos-Loudenvielle hosts two essential sites for your holidays in the Pyrenees. On the north shore on the Génos side, enjoy a wide range of activities at the nautical base. By pedal boat, paddle boat or canoe, enjoy a pleasant moment under the sun of the Louron valley on the blue waters of the lake. On the Loudenvielle side on the south shore, you will succumb to the charms of Balnéa, the largest spa in the French Pyrenees. Spa, hammam, saunas, massage, Japanese outdoor baths... everything you need for relaxation is there!
The watchtowers of Génos and Moulor
As you stroll around the lake, you will notice intriguing and prominent buildings on the heights. Why don't you go visit them? Start with the Tower of Génos. This watchtower was built in the 13th century and is nearly 10m high. In the Middle Ages, it alerted the other towers further north in the event of an attack from the south. On the other side of the lake, you can see the Tower of Moulor in height. Built in the 12th century, it belonged to the Moulors, lords of Loudervielle. From the original castle, only the square tower, the chapel and part of the enclosure remain today. This defensive tower protected the entire southern part of the Louron valley from Moorish invasions. Legend has it that there is even a secret passage linking the two towers...
