Biello Sobrarbe and Sierra de Guara Nature Park

The Sierra de Guara!

This is one of the most popular destinations for the French... and we can't say that they are wrong!

The orange-red hues of the landscape, the clear waters of the rivers and canyons, the unspoilt beauty of the villages and the tranquillity that can be experienced even in summer - these are the greatest assets of this region.

The Biello Sobrarbe is the part of the Sierra de Guara that belongs to the Sobrarbe, as the Natural Park also extends to the regions of Somontano and Hoya de Huesca.  The road that starts in Guaso and takes you -slowly so that you can enjoy the landscape- to Alquezar, contains some jewels not to be missed: Santa Maria de Buil, with its two churches, the villages of Lecina (thousand-year-old oak), Almazorre (oil mill) and above all the rich heritage of rock art in the Río Vero. Take a guided tour of the shelters of Barfaluy, Mallata or Arpán and immerse yourself in the prehistoric past of the region.

This region is, of course, one of the most popular for canyoning and climbing. Mountain biking is also omnipresent.

Here, there are no big hotels and few restaurants, but many rooms and tables d'hôtes, rustic furnished accommodation and above all... a lot of peace and quiet, which you deserve.
